How does it work?

1

Receive offers without needing an account

You don’t even need to create an account to get quality offers from our prepared and committed buyers.

When a Housecure buyer sends their offer you’ll get a link including the standard offer details along with their Offer Pack outlining their unique benefits. From details about their mortgage, to financial pledges to get the sale done quickly, you’ll get plenty of information not normally available to sellers to help you make an informed decision.

2

Get yourself sale ready

Beyond getting offers from credible buyers, you can also create a free Sales Pack. It will get you more prepared for the sale, ensuring fewer chances for it to collapse and a quicker turnaround from offer to sale.

3

We’ll take you through each step

A Sales Pack might sound intimidating but it’s all information you will need to supply at some point in the process. We just make it clear what forms and details will be expected and ensure all the information is easy to provide, manage and share.

Do it in your own time. You can fill in it as little or as much as you want, but the more you can get done early the more attractive your sale will look to buyers.

4

Share with your estate agent

Share it easily with your estate agent, who can share your Sales Pack with prospective buyers.

Buyers want a quick and reliable purchase, so providing this information makes your property more attractive, improving your chances of an offer and even increasing the offer price.

5

Make a quick and painless sale

Once your offers come in, you can pick the buyer right for you, and go from offer to sale at record speed having done a lot of the work up front.

We’re in the early stages of our mission to make every aspect of homeownership a delightful experience.

For us, protecting home buyers and sellers from failed transactions is just the start, and we want to make that security accessible for everyone.

In the coming months we’ll be rapidly adding new services to Housecure so that you can remove the stress from home ownership in other ways, too.

The average time for a normal property purchase from offer to exchange is 12-16 weeks. And that’s assuming the sale doesn’t collapse due to information that doesn’t surface until week 15.

With Housecure, the process is made transparent, the sale is less likely to fall through, and it should reduce the time to exchange.

Also, by preparing buyers and sellers before offers are made, we enable both parties to make decisions quicker and with more confidence. So it's more likely offers are accepted earlier and sales are completed.

It is estimated that over a quarter of all home buying transactions fail, according to the UK Government’s analysis of improving the home buying and selling process in England.

When property sales fail, 51% face costs averaging £2.7K, and 12% waste more than £5K.

The UK government’s consultation analysis says that while there is no silver bullet, we can improve the home buying and selling process by harnessing advances in technology and reducing the time to completion. Housecure is part of that answer.

They tried! In 2004 the Labour government brought in Home Information Packs (HIPs). These required certain information to be disclosed by the seller so the buyer could make an informed decision. They didn’t go far enough though, and the Conservative government later scrapped the scheme in 2010 and decided to let private enterprise fix the problem.

The government also commissioned a consultation that acknowledges the massive issues with the house exchange process. It recommends that the government works with the industry to develop a standardised reservation agreement – which is an issue Housecure solves.
